This succulent will produce large rosettes, or "hens", with sharp silvery green foliage, often flushed with rosy-red hues at the base. This hue may vary by season, intensifying in cooler climates. From the "hens" will emerge small rosettes "chicks", which can easily be divided and transplanted. An easy-to-care-for plant, it will thrive in dry conditions, making it ideal for rock gardens, as a houseplant, or outdoors as a ground cover. This tough variety is cold hardy to -5 Fahrenheit.
