I have purchased many security lights that promised ultra-sensitive response plus brilliant LED lighting; easy set up; and guaranteed weather proof. All have been disappointments. To minimize my angst I ordered two of the Bell & Howell dual spot light units. Living in a coastal desert of San Diego rain is not plentiful. When the spot lights with solar panel arrived we were having an unusual stretch of day after day of heavy rains, Santa Ana type winds, flash floods and downed trees. I placed my B & H lights on my work bench in the garage with underneath the dual fluorescent 4 foot hanging lamp then adjusted each solar panel directly under the lamp and left it on for 24 hours for four days. On the 5th day (still raining and strong winds) I put both units in the back yard and every time our dog went out the light responded and the flat area and the slope were illuminated perfectly.
I immediately ordered two more units, each unit had three rectangular lights and over 100 LEDs. I will be placing another order for lights to cover the drive way out front. Once I get the lights to light up the drive way I anticipate my neighbors will want to ask me about them.
Nice and bright
This light works well, but some of us need the light on all sides of our homes. That means that the charging solar panel should not only be adjustable up and down, but it also needs to turn left or right towards the sun. Example, I need one on my East wall, but the only way to get sun on that side, the charging panel needs to be able to be turned to the south. Also, the person before me asked how long the light stays on (after being activated), they did want ask how long the light stayed charged.

1). The 250 lumen light projection distance can shine up to 1000 square feet, of course this can vary depending on the darkness of the area.
2). Yes the light will not be turned on during daytime hours.
3). The solar panel can be tilted backwards and forward to catch the sun as needed. -
